WooCommerce store
When WooCommerce is active, Hera Site Monitor also watches the parts of your store that bring in money. It only reads your orders. It never places a test order.
Failed orders that pile up
When an order fails, the plugin notes the time, and nothing else about the order. Once an hour it compares the last hour with the seven days before. When at least 3 orders failed in the last hour, and that is at least three times your usual hourly rate, it reports a problem marked Critical, for example: “3 orders failed in the last hour, against about 0 an hour usually.”
This usually means a payment method stopped working, or card testing: someone is trying stolen card numbers on your checkout. What to do: open WooCommerce → Orders, show the failed orders and read their notes, then check your payment provider’s dashboard. The problem is marked as fixed by itself once an hour passes without the spike.
Orders that stop coming in
Once an hour the plugin counts the orders of the last 3 hours, paid or on hold, and compares them with the same 3 hours on each of the 14 days before. When there was no order at all, while those hours usually bring 5 or more and had orders on most of those days, it reports a problem marked Worth a look. What to do: place a test order to see whether the checkout and the payment methods work, and look for errors in your payment provider’s dashboard.
On a store with fewer orders, a few quiet hours are normal, so this check stays silent there.
The cart page
Your store’s cart page is checked every hour with the other pages, in addition to the pages you chose in the settings. Besides everything a page check looks for, the plugin makes sure the cart page still shows WooCommerce’s cart, whether it is empty or not. A cart page that lost it, after a theme, page builder or plugin change, is reported as Worth a look. What to do: edit the cart page and add back WooCommerce’s Cart block, or the [woocommerce_cart] shortcode if the page is built with shortcodes.
While the store is in WooCommerce’s “coming soon” mode, visitors see a coming soon page instead of the cart on purpose, so this check stays silent.
Errors in WooCommerce
PHP errors raised by WooCommerce or its extensions are recorded like any other PHP error, with the extension named in the problem’s title. See PHP errors.
Order storage
The checks work with both WooCommerce order storages: High-Performance Order Storage and the older posts storage.
