Stores that sell in more than one currency

The plugin does not convert between currencies. This article explains what that means for the reports and payments if your store takes orders in more than one currency.

What the reports show

  • The figures, the Affiliates and Coupons reports and the print layout add up amounts as each order recorded them, whatever its currency, and show the total in your store’s currency.
  • The Orders report shows each order in its own currency.
  • The Orders CSV file has a Currency column with each order’s currency.

So totals are meaningful for a store that sells in one currency. If you sell in several, use the Orders report or its CSV file, which keep each order’s currency.

Payments

A payment records the store currency at the moment you record it. Its screen, the payment history, its email, its printed copy and its CSV file show that currency; the CSV file has it in a Currency column. Balances, statements, the amount on the record button and the printed statement use your store’s current currency.
