An order is missing from the reports
When an order you expect is not in the reports, one of a few things is usually the reason. This article goes through them in the order worth checking.
The report index has not been built
Orders placed before the plugin was installed only appear once the report index is built. If the report screens show a notice about the index, click its link and run Rebuild index. See The report index.
The plugin was deactivated when the order was placed
While the plugin is deactivated, it records nothing. Orders placed or changed in that time are missing or out of date until you run Rebuild index, which the report screens ask for after you activate the plugin again.
The filters leave it out
- The reports cover the period in the filter bar, the last 30 days unless you changed it, and an order belongs to the day it was placed. See Filtering the reports.
- An Affiliate or Coupon filter, or a status link on the Orders report, may exclude it. Click Reset to clear them.
The order used no coupon
Only orders that used a coupon are in the reports. Orders that are checkout drafts, or in the trash, are left out as well.
The coupon was edited somewhere else
When you change a coupon’s affiliate on its own edit screen, its orders follow straight away. Changes made in another way, such as a bulk edit, an import or another plugin, do not reach the reports until you click Sync affiliates from coupons under Affiliate Reports → Settings.
The order is under another affiliate
- An order already paid for stays with the affiliate who was paid, even if the coupon now belongs to someone else. See The Affiliate tab.
- The same person may be recorded twice, under a name and under an email address. See Merging two records of one affiliate.
To see which affiliate an order was credited to, look at the Affiliate column of WooCommerce → Orders. See The Affiliate column on the Orders and Coupons lists.
